Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail...
I am haunted by waters. Mostly rivers, mountain streams, and lakes. Fly fishing is a huge passion of mine, and my boyfriend is an Orvis guide. Although he prefers bass fishing to trout, he occasionally humors my requests o float the nearby Clinch and Houston rivers. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is also part of our backyard, and home of the Southern Appalachian Brook Trout.
Have trout? Will travel!
Horses are my livelihood and often a personal subject for me. After 30 years their beauty and grace still takes my breath away. I teach riding, guide trail rides in the mountains, practice equine massage, and enjoy foxhunting.
I’ve been guiding at Blackberry Farm in Walland, TN for close to seven years. Along with having a world class hotel, the property also boasts two award-winning restaurants, numerous James Beard awards for the culinary and wine programs, along with the coveted service award, and landscape worthy of being it’s own national park. Every department is run with passion and the pursuit of perfection. From master gardener John Coykendall and his heirloom seed collection to the very animals we raise, I seek to capture it’s beauty behind the lens of my camera. The tiniest details and moments are sometimes missed when you look at the big picture.

Famous Fried Chicken
The staff at the Dogwood knows what to do with a bird.
As a recipe developer and self-proclaimed foodie, I’m always looking for the perfect bite! A lot are from my own kitchen, but others are from my food adventures in Knoxville and beyond.
It’s a thing, I promise
Portraits can be hard. I like capturing my subject in their element, whether that’s performing, working, or posing.
